Master Thang, Truong Nam Pos of: Sector Development Manager Organization: Environmentally & Socially Responsible Tourism Capacity Development Programme (ESRT)

Biography:

Mr Truong Nam Thang is Human Resources Development Manager of the ESRT Programme. His main tasks are to ensure smooth and effective implementation of all programme activities from the technical aspect. Previous to his employment with ESRT, Thang was the General Manager Hanoi of OSC-SMI Travel, one of major tour operators in Vietnam. Thang has worked over 30 years in tourism industry abroad and in Vietnam. He is a part-time lecturer on tourism and travel management, tutor trainer and trainer on travel agency, tour operations and tour guiding in tourism faculties and colleges. In the past 10 years, Thang has participated in many tourism projects organised and funded by the Government and other NGOs. He is also an active technical consultant to Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Vietnam Tourism Association and Vietnam Society of Travel Agencies. Thang holds a Bachelor Diploma and Masters Degree in Tourism Management.
